I am not a big champagne drinker, but I am hosting Christmas morning breakfast where I'll be serving eggs benedict. Should I choose a brut, sweet or some other type of champagne?

I recommend Flavours Cafe in Tufnell Park (10 Campdale Road). They have Eggs Benedict/Royale, both delightful!
Can anyone recommend a good place in Primrose Hill..? Thanks

Had EB at the Pattiserie Valerie in the Strand. It was served on brioche, which is not my favourite thing, but I was hungry so I proceeded. It was a disappointment- the hollandaise was luke warm, but get this- the eggs were not true poached eggs! They were perfect half domes so had been coddled! The bacon was nice and thick, but I was saddened.

You missed nothing at Plain (sic) Food. Benedict is disappointing. Stingy with the hollandaise, frequently undercooked eggs
, the cheapest ham - I suspect the local cooperative or perhaps a 7/11 store - and only one half of a muffin. Very poor. Blog is great btw, I too am searching for the perfect eggs Benedict!

I know The Diner do Eggs Benedict but I'm not sure how good are they.

I've never been in Maze Grill but it has always looked to me as a fancy place. 4.5 is a good score. Perfection is very rare. Manne I don't know is the reservation obligatory but if I were you I would prefer to call earlier.

Seems the best Benedicts we've had have been in our on kitchen, in San Francisco, although there are some restaurants here that do a nice job. We have a couple recipes of our ventures. Our latest one is poached in sparkling wine and butter.

Joe's Kitchen in Borough do great Eggs - big, light muffin and a hollandaise with a bit of tang. Plus the yolks always run!

I have just moved to Bristol and am an eggs benedict fanatic. I will make it my mission to search every cafe until I find an eggs benedict fit for your list. For me the best eggs benedict I have ever had for overall experience is in the Pump Rooms in Bath. Go mid week at 10am. Get the table towards to back of the room, where they have every paper laid out. Order the brunch and spend an hour and a half listening to the pump room trio playing classical music, reading the papers and eating an amazing Eggs bendict, cappucino, fresh Orange juice and after a round of toast and preserves all for under a tenner. Just don't tell everyone!

I have to say that I love Patisserie Valerie for Eggs Benedict, even though they use brioche and it's not toasted...also the portion is decent :)!!
