It was served on brioche, which is not my favourite thing, but I was hungry so I proceeded. It was a disappointment- the hollandaise was luke warm, but get this- the eggs were not true poached eggs! They were perfect half domes so had been coddled! The bacon was nice and thick, but I was saddened.

Re: Seeking Benedict

Yep, was there in March 2009 http://www.questbenedict.com/r...

Re: Seeking Benedict

Yep, went there back in 2009. Benedict is disappointing. Stingy with the hollandaise, frequently undercooked eggs
, the cheapest ham - I suspect the local cooperative or perhaps a 7/11 store - and only one half of a muffin. Very poor. Blog is great btw, I too am searching for the perfect eggs Benedict!

Re: Seeking Benedict

This place does them in Peck-Ham.
http://www.newgallerylondon.co...
Only a mini gallery but also a restaurant + Bar - seems they do Sunday Lunch too - should organise a gang trip sometime.

Re: Thwarted at Heathrow T5

So what is your score for the Terminal 5's Eggs Benedict (from 1 to 5)

Re: Seeking Benedict

I know The Diner do Eggs Benedict but I'm not sure how good are they.

Re: Maze Grill – Mayfair W1

I've never been in Maze Grill but it has always looked to me as a fancy place. 4.5 is a good score. We have a couple recipes of our ventures. Our latest one is poached in sparkling wine and butter.
Cheers,
Jason & Steve
http://yourfoodchoices.wordpre...

Re: The Wolseley – W1

5!!! I will make it my mission to search every cafe until I find an eggs benedict fit for your list. For me the best eggs benedict I have ever had for overall experience is in the Pump Rooms in Bath. Go mid week at 10am. Get the table towards to back of the room, where they have every paper laid out. Order the brunch and spend an hour and a half listening to the pump room trio playing classical music, reading the papers and eating an amazing Eggs bendict, cappucino, fresh Orange juice and after a round of toast and preserves all for under a tenner. Just don't tell everyone!

Re: Giraffe Cafe – South Bank Centre SE1

I have to say that I love Patisserie Valerie for Eggs Benedict, even though they use brioche and it's not toasted...also the portion is decent :)!!
